Principal Function:

Assists teaching staff with a variety of instructional and supportive activities for/with preschool students within a Christian school environment.

Qualifications:

1. A spiritually committed believer possessing active Christian traits and values.

2. Possession of a high school diploma, or equivalent status.

3. Experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred.

4. Meets state health and safety requirements, including background check, finger printing and medical testing.

5. Completion of the 40 hour DCF training courses or evidence of registration into one of these courses within 90 days of hire, or equivalent status.

6. Must be in good health and fitness in order to actively demonstrate and participate in children's activities.

 

Application Requirements:

The following documents shall be filed with your application:

1. Copy of college or high school transcripts

2. Copy of Florida Teaching Certificate or CDA, if applicable

3. A minimum of one professional reference letter

4. One character reference letter from a church leader

 

Responsibilities:

1. Assists teaching staff with instructional tasks.

2. Assists students individually or in groups to present or reinforce learning concepts.

3. Provides guidance and supervision for children in conjunction with teachers or independently in the classroom or on school grounds.

4. Greets children and parents upon their arrival and departure from school.

5. Assists in the daily general clean up of activity areas.

6. Carries out discipline in a productive, Christian manner according to documented procedures.

7. Attends monthly staff meetings and other called meetings to coordinate program activities.

8. Continues professional development through attendance at in-service training programs.

9. May perform other associated duties as assigned by the Program Administrator.
