Description:
Good Shepherd Catholic School is seeking a Resource/Enrichment Teacher that is Florida Certified with ESE & ESOL for the 2022-2023 Academic school year. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid Florida Educators certification, be self-motivated and energetic. GSCS is seeking applicants with knowledge of State Standards, technology integration, and age-appropriate standard-based instruction. Experience in evaluating, documenting, and communicating individual student growth, differentiation strategies, classroom management and willingness to participate in professional development opportunities. In collaboration with the school’s teachers and administration, the school resource/enrichment teacher is responsible for providing curriculum support systems for students and teachers. Applicants must be comfortable in a Catholic faith-based setting with a dedication to the Good Shepherd's Mission and Beliefs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Working with the staff for the purpose of planning and developing appropriate student instruction.
Modeling appropriate classroom strategies for teachers and providing training as needed.
Assisting with instructional and supplementary materials.
Creating goals and instructional plans to support special needs students.
Working with small groups of students.
Testing students on a regular basis to assess their progress.
Tutoring students, as assigned.
Assisting parents and Orange County with the implementation of student service plans.
Communicating/coordinating educational and instructional efforts for student progress and achievement
Communicate with the parents regularly and with Orange County personnel as needed.
Sharing student resource goals and information with staff and parents.
Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies and administrative regulations.
Completing appropriate reports on time.
Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with parents, students, and co-workers.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Principal.
All duties, schedules and responsibilities are assigned by the Principal.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or University required in the field of Special Education.
A minimum of 3 years successful teaching experience.
Must have a valid Florida Teacher’s Certificate.
A high level of organizational and interpersonal skill is required.
Attention to detail and working well with others is also required.
Ability to effectively communicate with staff, students and parents as well as Orange County Non-Public personnel.
Participates in the Diocesan Faith formation requirements, professional development, faculty meetings, and other responsibilities as a faculty member.
