JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title Student Worship Coordinator

Positions Reports To: NextGen Worship Pastor

Summary
The primary purpose is to lead, equip and disciple student worshipers according to the culture of Discovery Church’s Arts Ministry in the context of Student’s Midweek and Student Weekend Worship Services (when scheduled).

Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. No higher education is required.

Experience Required
2+ years of Worship Ministry experience (Worship Leadership preferred)

Primary Responsibilities –

  • Serve as coordinator and point person for Campus Student Worship
  • Attend Student Worship Planning Meetings and collaborate with the NextGen Worship Pastor and the Student Worship Team
  • Leading or facilitating Midweek and weekend Student worship
  • Assist in planning worship for combined Student events (UN1TE, Student Camp, Worship Bootcamp, Student Worship Clinics, etc.)
  • Build worship teams and lead student worship volunteers (Band, Vocals, Tech)
  • Scheduling worship volunteers in PCO
  • Leading student worship rehearsals, soundchecks, devotions or coaching times, etc.
  • Equipping and developing student worship volunteers according to their gifting or calling

Basic Qualifications:

  • Passion for completing tasks with excellence
  • Critical ear and the ability to both give and receive candid feedback
  • Experience in leading a worship team/band
  • Talented both vocally and in leading from the stage
  • Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Passion to grow the local church
  • A heart for discipling young people

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Orlando, FL 32809: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
