Description:
Holy Family Catholic School is looking for Substitute Teachers for the 2021-2022 school year. Substitute teachers perform the instructional and classroom management process for teachers when they are absent. Substitute teachers can be used for a day or long term, depending on the needs. This position is as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Begin each class period with an appropriate pray.
Report to school by 7:15am or when called.
Provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.
Dress appropriately and modestly to maintain a professional image.
Maintain a safe and orderly environment, providing good classroom management.
Maintain established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned.
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect all students.
Take all necessary precautions to protect and maintain equipment, materials and facilities.
Enforce classroom rules and procedures.
Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and times designated.
Perform other duties as assigned.
. Requirements:
Substitute teachers must agree to abide by the educational policies of the Diocese of Orlando and the Office of Catholic Schools, as well as comply with the educational policies and procedures of Holy Family Catholic School. The substitute teacher cooperates with staff in providing an educational environment that promotes the ministry of Catholic education.
Requirements:
Must have a High School Diploma or higher.
Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.
Must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church.
Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the policies of the Diocese of Orlando.
All employees must be fingerprinted, pass a background check and complete Diocesan safe environment training prior to beginning.
Employees shall not discuss confidential information about students, parents, or other employees with spouses or others inside or outside of work.
