Description:
Demonstrate curriculum knowledge and the ability to follow standards based instruction in a resourceful manner, to plan and deliver engaging learning opportunities and activities for maximum effectiveness.
Incorporate hands-on activities, daily academic classroom centers and differentiation into lessons.
Be proficient in the daily use and integration of technology in the educational environment.
Stay abreast of current research and educational best practices by evidence of pursuing continual professional development.
Be a skilled communicator and have the ability to work effectively, professionally and empathetically with students, parents, peers, administrators and others.
Have the ability to assess and document levels of student achievement, analyze test results and deliver instruction to varied learners.
Organize and direct content related activities.
Develop and document weekly and unit lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students.
Provide grade-appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive activities/lessons.
Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of Good Shepherd Catholic School and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students and classroom management at all times.
Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities.
Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.

. Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree.
Valid Florida Educator's certification.
Employment is contingent on the applicant passing a full background check.
Upon employment individual will be subject to a 90-day probationary period.
Catholic school experience preferred.
Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.
Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church.
Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the policies of the diocese.
