We are seeking Tutors for students in elementary, middle, and high school grades to help our students excel academically! You will provide classroom instruction to students in a group setting. While working with Wise Future Group Support Services, LLC, you choose your own work schedule as a tutor. You will help these students earn academic success, improve their attendance, learn social-emotional skills and develop positive behaviors at school. You will plan and monitor individual student progress and also work with teachers on whole-class instruction, breakout spaces, and other in-class student assistance. With your team, you will support after-school programming and develop whole-school activities to promote a positive school climate and encourage school-wide student engagement. However, with working with the schools, we do have set days and times so you can choose which of those days and times you are able to work. This is a 1099 contract position and you get to create your own schedule and choose which students you will take on, but with the opportunity to be a full-time position with full benefits!
Responsibilities:
- Assist students in targeted subject areas via individual or group tutoring
- Model and encourage collaborative study strategies
- Create and manage resources
- Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment
- Meet regularly with the supervisor
- Manage and educate students in a non-classroom and/or classroom setting
- Design and implement lesson plans at varying academic levels
- Establish academic goals and milestones with students
- Document and communicate progress reports
- Provide constructive feedback for students
- Keep the LearnSpeed calendar updated and submit session reports.
- Consistency with scheduling students
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or other related fields
- Ability to build rapport with students
- Sufficient knowledge of basic subjects (Math, English, Science, etc)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Great communication skills
- Tutoring capabilities up to a high school level in math, reading, English, and science.
- Has a laptop/computer and good internet connection
- Ability to navigate computers
- Flexibility to work late afternoons and evenings
- Willingness to travel up to 15 miles.
- Must be willing to tutor in person and remote
