Responsibilities/Duties
- Nurture and guide children to promote their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth
- Ensure the health and wellbeing of all children at all times
- Establish and maintain a respectful relationship with parents, families and co-workers
- Follow and adhere to curriculum; learn to plan and implement age appropriate lessons and activities
- Follow guidance of Lead Teacher
- Maintain compliance with CSF, DCF and Real Life policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education
- HS diploma or GED
- Interest in furthering education; CDA, FCCPC or degree in field
- Have or obtain DCF state mandated training within first 90 days of employment
- Have or obtain First Aid/CPR certification, Bloodborne Pathogens and Fire Extinguisher training
- Complete DOE Literacy requirement
- Have or obtain training on the CLASS (classroom assessment scoring system)
- Required annual in-service training/CEU’s and training as required for professional growth
Work Experience
- Minimum 1yr. experience as a teacher assistant or substitute in an early learning environment.
