In recent years the church has been in a season of transition and is now positioned for outreach and a fresh wind of the Spirit to blow upon this congregation. Our longing is to be lovers of God, hence our desire to pursue Jesus in deep Worship.
Christ Church is an Anglican Church, that is firmly rooted in the three streams of worship the taught in the scriptures, Scripture, Spirit and Sacrament. So, Christ Church is Evangelical in it's proclamation of the Gospel of the Kingdom Matt.28:19. Charismatic in it's equipping of the saints for the work of Ministry Eph.4. Sacramental, in so much as we celebrate Holy Communion in our Sunday Worship. 1 Cor.11:23-25. Our Sunday Worship Services feature vibrant contemporary Praise and Worship, while not forgetting the past great traditional hymns of our faith.
The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years in professional full-time ministry in a church of 100-200 people, possessing a strong ability to lead vocally from a keyboard, and possess the ability to play both contemporary and traditional styles. Proven ability to lead a group of musicians and singers. Familiar with new tools and technology for modern worship i.e. Planning Center, utilizing click, tracks, multitracks, and or Ableton Live etc. A willingness to learn and embrace Liturgical Worship while having the liberty to express one’s own individual style in the freedom and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Generous compensation commensurate with experience.
