St. Francis of Assisi is especially associated with reverence for nature and love of animals. Services of prayer and blessing for animals are often connected to his Oct. 4 feast day. This is an opportunity to give thanks to God for the special animals in our lives and to ask His blessing on them. Plan to attend with your animal companions (appropriately restrained or crated, of course!), their photographs, or the cremated remains of a beloved pet.

We’ll meet in the parking lot behind the Guild House, the cream-colored building at the corner of W. Broad and Talbot St. You may park there, or curbside on W. Broad St. Our greeters will be on hand to welcome you and provide you with a personalized Certificate of Blessing at the conclusion of our service. In case of inclement weather, ample space is available inside the Guild House.

This year St. Mary’s is pleased to highlight the Burlington County Animal Alliance through a monetary donation and goods drive, and through your presence. Please join us on October 2!
