What's it all about?

Where do science and faith converge?

Well, an increasing number of scientists are seeing the undeniable evidence of design and purpose in the universe — from nanomachines in microscopic cells to finely-tuned physical conditions in our solar system, galaxy, and the universe at large.

Where did that design and purpose come from?

Meanwhile, people of faith have marveled at the power and genius of the designer described in the Bible — a God who creates order and beauty out of chaos.

But is that faith supported by scientific evidence?

At this unique conference, scientists and theologians will meet to explore this year's theme of Design & Designer: The Convergence of Science & Theology. The event is co-sponsored by Discovery Institute's Center for Science & Culture and Westminster Theological Seminary.

Who are the presenters?

Stephen Meyer (author of Return of the God Hypothesis)

Vern Poythress (author of Redeeming Science)

John West (author of Darwin Day in America)

Stuart Burgess (author of Hallmarks of Design)

Michael Keas (author of Unbelievable)

Paul Nelson (co-author of Explore Evolution)

Scott Oliphint (author of Covenantal Apologetics)

Daniel Reeves (outreach director for the Center for Science & Culture)

Emily Reeves (CEO of Nutriplexity)

Ransom Poythress (author of Richard Dawkins)

Jonathan McLatchie (assistant professor at Sattler College)

Douglas Ell (author of Proofs of God)

Are there sessions for youth?

Once again, we will offer a unique series of breakout sessions designed for school-aged students. These interactive sessions will help youth integrate their understanding of science and faith as they enter the world of academia. Consider bringing a group of students from your local school, youth group, or homeschool community.

NOTE: Children under 12 years of age may attend the conference for free, but no child care will be provided.

Lunch in or lunch out?

When selecting your tickets, you can choose a lunch "add-on" at the bottom of the page. Zoës Kitchen will be providing pita bread sandwiches, with a selection of either falafel ($12), chicken ($12), or steak ($14). Boxed lunches will include a sandwich, salad, chips, and bottled water. If you opt to purchase a ticket without a boxed lunch, you can bring your lunch or eat out at any local restaurant. For nutrition information on boxed lunches, please visit Zoës Kitchen online.

Are you looking for a hotel in the area?

We have arranged a block of rooms at a reduced rate at the Residence Inn by Marriott, just a 5-minute walk from the conference. To reserve a room, visit the group link here or call (610) 459-1190 and reference the conference code "WTHS."
