What you will do:
Respond to inquiries received from Churches, affiliate employers, and members by answering calls and following up on cases to ensure service is completed between the hours of 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Interpret and promote the Benefits Plan and administer the distinct programs offered through the Assistance Program.
Serve as a partner in guiding the choices available through analysis and forecasting of client account metrics.
Triage the Member Services queue to relay member inquiries to the correct department for processing.
Facilitate employer-related issues to grow membership, consulting on pricing review and determinations, billing, and the management of delinquent accounts.
Process pension verifications and estimates and Assistance grants for churches and affiliated organizations and retired employees.
What you need to succeed in the role:
2 years of experience in a benefits administration and/or Human Resources operation.
Proficiency with computerized benefits administration systems and customer care technologies.
An ability to comprehend, interpret and communicate medical, other health, welfare, and retirement benefits information for customer understanding.
An ability to build rapport with employers, members, and colleagues using a positive, flexible, creative approach.
Strong time management skills and problem-solving ability.
An ability to take initiative and proactively support and anticipate client needs.
Demonstrate exceptional oral, written, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
An ability to work well with diverse groups and across all levels of management.
An ability to effectively work remotely utilizing an uninterrupted internet connection, as required.
An ability to travel to represent the Board of Pensions.
An ability, interest, and desire to stay current in benefits administration via seminars, industry literature, and formal training and development.
