Specific Responsibilities Include:
Coordinate, schedule, train, and coach volunteers and Media Technician employees to operate A/V systems (sound, webcast, etc.) for worship services and other special events.
Must personally fill scheduling gaps left vacant by volunteers and Media Technicians.
Maintain workspaces and equipment in clean and operable condition
Report issues to the Director of Technology and work together for solutions
Develop and implement training materials and methods for new volunteers and the Media Technicians.
Work with and train volunteers and Media Technicians to troubleshoot problems
Work with the Director of Technology to maintain the online Sermon/Resource library and ensure new content is uploaded in a timely fashion.
Keep apprised of new technologies which may be useful to or implemented by Tenth
Provide basic technical troubleshooting on Sundays for non-worship tech, such as check-in stations.
Inspire ministry leaders’ confidence in technical solutions
Maintain a positive attitude, even in difficult situations
Qualifications:
A teachable spirit and eagerness to collaborate with others
An even keeled demeaner in stressful situations
Training/experience in professional audio/visual technologies and their use.
Must be willing and able to work all weekly worship services (currently on Sundays) in the year, all holiday services, and a significant portion of weddings, funerals, and conferences. Exceptions must be coordinated in advance with the Director of Technology.
Flexible, readily adapts as needs change
Must be able to follow detailed instructions precisely and consistently
Commitment to high quality and extremely detailed work in a busy setting
Familiarity with digital video and audio systems, or theatrical systems is a plus, but not required.
A reputation of punctuality is highly valued.
Membership or willingness to pursue membership at Tenth is strongly encouraged.


Physical and Scheduling Demands


In performing this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop and crawl. The employee also must be able to lift 30 pounds, and may rarely need to work on ladders, or other similar structures.

Based on the current worship schedule, this position expects about 10 hours per week: nine hours on Sunday in a split shift, plus one hour during the week for coordination, scheduling, and other duties. The time commitment would expand for holidays and special events. These hours take place almost entirely during evenings and weekends.

Experience:
Substantial hands-on experience with technology use in a worship-oriented environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience is strongly desired.
Training in or love for music is a plus
