Summary: Holding Jesus at the center of our worship, the Worship Musicians (WM) will assist the Worship Coordinator in the planning, and implementation of our worship ministry. As a part-time worker the WM will work energetically to turn our vision into action.
Reporting: This position reports directly to the Worship Coordinator
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Worship Coordinator,
Select songs and arrangements for worship services that convey the message and theme of each service.
Promote a multicultural worship atmosphere through music selection, contemporary, hip hop, gospel, hymns, and more.
Prepare and play for rehearsals and play during the Worship Services of the church.
Accompany special events on the church calendar, which include but are not limited to: Worship Night Services (1 every other month), Ash Wednesday Services, and Christmas Candlelight Service.
Notify the Worship Coordinator of any absences to allow a suitable substitute to be obtained.
Qualifications: Position requires an individual with the following:
- A love for Jesus and a desire to deepen understanding of Jesus’ teachings and practices within a faith community.

- Ability to interact well with others; builds constructive relationships.
- A value for diverse perspectives; open to participate in diversity training opportunities; shows sensitivity to individual differences; pays attention to power distributions to ensure balance.
Work Week: This position is a 7 hour/week position which includes rehearsals and service(s).
Wage: $20/hr.
Probationary Period: Three (3) months initial probation. After the probationary period, the individual will be evaluated annually. This is an at-will position.

Experience:
- playing keyboard: 3 years (Preferred)
- performance: 1 year (Preferred)
