COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
The Office for Communications is seeking an entry level candidate with a strong interest in the field of public relations and communications. Four year college degree is required. Education and/or internship experience in the field of communications or public relations is preferred.

Duties include handling incoming calls and email inquiries from the news media and general public, daily monitoring of news coverage as well as news coverage report compilation and distribution, assist with electronic and hard copy monthly mailings, updating the Archdiocesan web calendar, drafting news releases, assisting with social media platforms, as well as special projects and events.

Job will entail clerical duties with regard to research, billing, and filing as well as direct clerical support for the Chief Communications Officer. Strong computers skills are necessary. Successful candidates need to be team oriented and demonstrate the ability to work in a rapid pace work environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient knowledge and use of the Microsoft Office suite is essential.
