Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall programmatic and fiscal management and oversight of the OST program. This includes assuring compliance with state licensing requirements and compliance with PHMC contractual requirements.


Supervision Received:

Directly from the OST Administrator


Supervision Given:

Directly to the Assistant Director/Group Supervisor (s) and indirectly to the Group Leaders


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assures compliance with State licensing regulations and renewal
  • Adheres to all CSS policies and procedures
  • Advises OST Administrator in the development of operational budget and adheres to budget parameters
  • Is familiar with, and assures compliance with the Scope of Work, which outlines program requirements
  • Assure daily reporting in the City Span system, and all other data entry systems
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of CSS financial documents that include credit card statements and receipts, expense invoices, transmittals etc.
  • Ensures the program is fully utilized based on slot level, and is within staff to student ratio.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of staff as well as conducting weekly staff meeting
  • Ensures all staff have required clearances and training
  • Responsible for on-going recruitment and registration of children, as well as conducting orientation process for children and parents
  • Assure that all staff and children's files are in compliance.

  • Attend all internal and external meetings
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with pastors, principals and community organizations
  • Develops and implements age appropriate curriculum that includes project-based learning, field trips and other activities
  • Works closely with the Program Liaison and the Supportive Services Coordinator
  • Organize and develop events to promote programming.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned


DEMONSTRATED SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Knowledge and orientation of agencies' mission statement, philosophy, and core values.
  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree in education, social work or a related degree.
  • Experience working in a licensed child care center
  • Knowledge of PA licensing regulations
  • Ability to manage and navigate through different systems
  • Demonstration of strong organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and be flexible to meet program needs
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with co-workers, colleagues, staff, children and parents.
  • Ability to relate effectively and sensitively in a diverse environment.
  • Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care
