Part-Time Front Desk Administrative Assistant
We are looking for a Front Desk Administrative Assistant to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a Front Desk Administrative Assistant you will be the first point of contact for our parish and community.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Assist in meeting preparation
- Assist with scheduling and keeping records of pastoral visits, funerals, baptisms, pre-marital counseling, and weddings
- Assist with sending holiday greeting cards, donor acknowledgment letters, and sympathy cards
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and daily responsibilities
- Assist clergy with other administrative tasks
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Parish Business Administrator
Requirements & Skills
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. computers, phone systems and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
Hours & Compensation
- 20 hours per week/Mon-Fri 10am-2pm
- Hourly Pay rate: $18-$20
