Part-Time Front Desk Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a Front Desk Administrative Assistant to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a Front Desk Administrative Assistant you will be the first point of contact for our parish and community.

Duties & Responsibilities
 

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Assist in meeting preparation
  • Assist with scheduling and keeping records of pastoral visits, funerals, baptisms, pre-marital counseling, and weddings
  • Assist with sending holiday greeting cards, donor acknowledgment letters, and sympathy cards
  • Coordinate volunteer schedules and daily responsibilities
  • Assist clergy with other administrative tasks
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Parish Business Administrator

Requirements & Skills
 

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. computers, phone systems and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills

Hours & Compensation
 

  • 20 hours per week/Mon-Fri 10am-2pm
  • Hourly Pay rate: $18-$20
