Duties and responsibilities
- Communicates regularly between shifts, receiving reports from the change before and giving the information to the growth coming in; reads follow-up book
- Completes evening shift notes, logs on each resident, smokers' alert sheet, and writes entries in the follow-up book as needed
- Prepares, serves, and cleans up from the supper meal; snack time
- Assists the women with the daily laundry schedule
- Assists in the distribution of medications when approved by the Case Manager Supervisor
- Performs personal care needs for the women
- Coordinates evening volunteers
- Makes hourly rounds
- Coordinates evening activities
- Executes fire drills when scheduled
- Answers phone and door
- Handles emergencies
- Attends staff meetings and makes use of in-service opportunities, particularly those needed to Comply with PCH licensing
- Assists in any assignment deemed necessary by the supervisor or the Program Director.
Qualifications
REPRESENTATIVE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- High school graduate/GED
- Holds or is willing to obtain a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Holds or is willing to obtain current certification in CPR and First Aid
- Has desire, interest, and ability to work well with others, including residents with severe and persistent mental illness who have been homeless
