Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in religious studies or associated experience
Responsibilities
Schedule: Monday to Friday / 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Reporting Relationship: Corps Commanding Officers
The Ministry Assistant Works under the direction of the Corps Officers and provides support to all aspects of the Philadelphia Corps Ministry, including youth and education program development, maintenance, supervision, property management, and evangelistic outreach.
Provide direction and supervision to the daily youth activities
Develop and maintain an intensive relational ministry with the youth and parents of the youth program, seeking to create and facilitate a bridge to all Corps programs
Provide property management services
Assist Corps Officers with correspondence, phone calls, Sunday services program preparation, event planning, etc
Plan and lead social and spiritual development programs, as directed
Secure and oversee volunteers
Participate in and engage with students and adults during programs
Work alongside staff and volunteers to provide a safe and enriching environment for program participants
Observe The Salvation Army’s policies on confidentiality
Participate in staff meetings
Uphold the mission and vision of The Salvation Army
Perform other duties as assigned by the Corps Commanding Officers

Salary/Grade: $40,000.00; Exempt grade 10
