Responsibilities:
Position Description: The Operation Ministry Director (designee) (OMD-D) will provide oversight of all departments that are part of the Kroc Center Operations section. This position will work with the Operations Ministry Director (OMD) to support all Operations departments. It will work collaboratively with Kroc departments outside of Operations to assure the alignment of efforts supporting The Salvation Army mission and the Kroc Center vision. The OMD-D will assist Operations departments in developing programming and other services designed to enhance the Kroc member/guest experience, always ensuring that such services meet the financial needs of the center. The OMD-D will play an active role in managing outside vendor agreements, assuring that work performed matches expectations, including ongoing operational maintenance and repairs and completion of planned capital improvements. The OMD-D will work with leaders and staff in the Education, Hospitality, and Congregational Life sections to align Kroc services with high customer satisfaction levels. The OMD-D will assist the OMD in planning, organizing, and implementing operational18procedures that maximize center success, as measured by financial sustainability, agreed/established program outcomes measures, and mission alliance. The OMD-D will be able to apply The Salvation Army policies and procedures that will assure the continuation of the Kroc Center’s nonprofit 501(c) status.

Qualifications:
Requirements: College degree in business or related field, Master’s Degree in business-related field preferred. At least three years of general business and operations management experience, with responsibility for profit/loss, financial and human capital in the service sector, preferably in wellness and fitness center management. Ability to complete work in compliance with Salvation Army policy and procedures. Previous experience working in a not-for-profit environment is desirable. Willingness to learn and understand business/management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Must be willing to engage in complex problem solving by reviewing relevant information individually and with others. Possess the ability to manage multiple projects through to completion, with skills that include organization, efficiency, and productivity. With OMD, create and foster an environment of interdepartmental cooperation, emphasizing strategies that promote teamwork, productivity, and accountability. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with a consistent emphasis on communicating with internal and external customers in a professional, positive, and service-focused manner; this includes meeting coordination and indentation of information to groups within and outside the Kroc Center. Possess general knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, a and analyze and reportnancial data. Have knowledgKnow abouttems, including applications and programming used at Kroc. Possess knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling Kroc services, including marketing strategy and tactics, demonstrations, and sales techniques. Be willing and able to monitor and assess the performance of oneself and other individuals to make improvements and take corrective action. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse, meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment,d with recurrent training required every five (5) years after that. Meet the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check. Must understand and appreciate the mission of The Salvation Army.
