Responsibilities:
- Daily practice spiritual disciplines of prayer and emersion in the word of God, as well as, emotional and physical self-care. Serve out of a healthy attitude every day.
- Oversee Children's Church and Sunday School curriculum. Engage parents to seek input and keep them informed of happenings with the children to ensure mutual engagement at home and church services.
- Partner with other ministries to learn and grow together. As we teach our children and youth the value of wholesome relationships beyond the walls of the church.
- Ensure that teachers and parents address relevant cultural topics to aid the appropriate spiritual response to the present-day challenges of life in Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley.
- Establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with parents/families of children and youth served in the church.
- Oversee teaching that enables our children and youth to become productive citizens of the world in ways that honor God and their family name.
- Do life with families via the use of campus grounds for family-friendly events; and trips that foster cultural development in the arts, history, etc...
- Organize events that are attractive to families in and out of the church, as a means for internal discipleship and evangelistic outreach.
- Recruit and train volunteers to serve families and contribute to the growth and enrichment of family life at New Covenant Church of Philadelphia.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of ministry experience
- Ordained minister preferred
- Demonstration of Christian values and Family Life that is exemplary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23,598.47 - $56,341.35 per year
