Full Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Keeps current on Benefits Plan changes, Administrative Rules, knowledgebase articles, communications, and other Benefits team activities.
Partners with the Director, Delivery and Administration and general counsel to interpret new and existing legal requirements and keeps current on all regulatory matters.
Responsible for the communications review process between the Benefits and Communications teams and outside vendors, when applicable.
Responsible for the administrative components of the Appeals Board processes, which include communicating with appellants, gathering data on first-level appeals, and preparing critical information used in rendering final-level appeals decisions.
Develops and monitors departmental budgets, producing and analyzing monthly status and variance reports.

Qualifications

a bachelor’s degree in a related field;
benefits or industry related certifications;
experience in Benefits Plan Administration;
an ability to make informed decisions and sound judgments regarding complex issues;
excellent analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills; and
excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
