Full Job Description

Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is looking for a Per Diem Chaplain.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Providing pastoral care according to an inter-faith model to patients, families, and (where appropriate) staff members at the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center
Coverage hours, including on-call coverage, and assignments shall be negotiated with the Chief Chaplain and Director of the Department of Pastoral Care
Working as part of the multidisciplinary structure at the hospital, which is coordinated through interdisciplinary documentation and team communication

Minimum Requirements:Please apply if you possess these qualifications:
Completion of one (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent required
Graduate from a college, seminary or equivalent theological education program preferred
Endorsement by a religious body to serve in a chaplain role and have personal and professional qualities appropriate for serving as a spiritual counselor in hospital setting required

Requires independence in performing duties
Must be sensitive and non-judgmental to patients, families, employees and co-workers
Exhibit a high level of concentration under stressful conditions, but no unusual sensory requirements
