Position: Program Coordinator
Catholic Housing and Community Services is currently seeking a Program Coordinator for the St. John Neumann Place II Wellness Center located in South Philadelphia. The Wellness Center is a program which provides activities that promote a healthy lifestyle for residents of our independent senior housing at the same location. The center is also open to seniors living in the surrounding neighborhood. This position will be for 25 hours a week.
Primary responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate appropriate programming for the Wellness Center
- Outreach and market to potential members in the surrounding community
- Create network of community partnerships to enhance programming at the Wellness Center
- Coordinate and train all Center volunteers
- Ensure staff/volunteer coverage of the Center during business hours
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree preferred in recreation therapy, group work, health education and related degrees. We will accept Associate's Degree or High School Diploma with related experience.
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
- Flexible and creative.
