Technology Integration Coach, PreK-12

The Technology Integration Coach, PreK-12, is a twelve-month position that will work collaboratively to assist teachers in their preparation and implementation of technology within the classroom. As well, this position will work with administrators in their overarching plans for implementation. The individual will coach and provide constructive feedback while the formal evaluation of teachers will reside with local administration. The Technology Integration Coach will have successful experience implementing technology in the elementary and/or secondary grades and the ability to adapt and learn the pedagogical practices of those unfamiliar. The individual will need to hold strong knowledge of formative and summative assessment, curriculum maps and standards along with technology integration models, such as, the Triple E Framework, along with deep knowledge and understanding of the ISTE Technology Standards. The Technology Integration Coach, PreK-12, will report to the Director of Technology in the Office of Catholic Education.

The Technology Integration Coach will be goal oriented, able to manage a large project while assisting local schools in their individual technology needs. Further, excellent preparation, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills are required to lead and empower change.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively with administration to coach and support teachers in research-based best practices for technology integration into the classroom.
Engage in continuous professional learning with other technology coaches to deepen content and pedagogical knowledge through face-to-face interactions and the development of a PLN.
Actively participate in the creation, promotion and implementation of various AoPTech events, professional development opportunities and summer tech academies.
Create, film and produce regular on camera videos for the AoPTech YouTube channel. The Technology Integration Coach must be comfortable with being filmed / recorded while on camera.
Utilize research-based instructional technology teaching strategies as drivers in planning and coaching.
Model and assist teachers in effective technology use for assessment, differentiated instructions, and rigorous, relevant and engaging learning for all students.
Coach teachers and model technology enhanced learning experiences that promote higher order thinking skills, differentiation, global interdisciplinary problem solving and data analysis.
Provide critical and appropriate feedback and support in terms of 1:1 instructional practices across content areas.
Contribute and inspire the planning, development and implementation of technology strategic planning at both the local and Archdiocesan levels.
Support the communication with teachers, parents and general community members information about technology program offerings. This includes social media updates and monthly newsletters.
Responsible to schedule and travel to on-site school visits at both elementary and secondary schools on a daily/weekly basis.
Travel to, participate in and when able present at local and national conferences, provided within the budget, such as but not limited to: ISTE, PETE&C, FETC and NCEA
Collaborate with the elementary and secondary superintendents and associate superintendents to align work with specific goals and outcomes identified.
Build and deliver high quality professional development presentations for both small and large groups at various skill levels appropriate to the target audience.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Specific Experience, Training and Skills

Extensive knowledge of teaching techniques, curriculum and staff development.
Experience with effective integration of technology into the PreK-12 classroom.
Experience using Google Workspace Applications such as Classroom, Drive, Docs, Slides, and Forms; various Social Media platforms such as Twitter, or Instagram, website creation tools such as Weebly, and Google Sites and experience using SmartBoard / Promethean software and hardware.
Have a deep knowledge of ISTE Standards for Administrators, Teachers and Students.
Knowledge of or experience with PowerSchool SIS and Schoology LMS.
Holds or is in the process of obtaining Google Level I & II Educator Certification and Google Trainer certification.
Ability to present professional Internet Safety and Digital Citizenship presentations to both PreK-12 students, administrators and Home and School associations.
Ability to learn new technologies - platforms, devices and digital tools, evaluate their classroom effectiveness, and teach their use to others in a clear and simplified manner.
Ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
A good listener who is able to establish professional relationships.
Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Recognized by co-workers as a strong teacher and leader in the area of technology integration.
A minimum of five years of elementary, middle or high school teaching experience is required. Master's Degree in Education or Technology Integration preferred.
