Key Responsibilities
Assist with general building reception and visitor services; assist artists, audiences, and community groups using the building; create a welcoming and positive first impression.
Ensure building safety and security; communicate and enforce building guidelines and rules; safely close and secure building at end of shift.
Provide accurate information, on the phone and in person, about Neighborhood House performances/events, as well as the public activities and events of Christ Church Preservation Trust and the Christ Church parish.
Answer the telephone and field calls to appropriate staff members.
Assist with event setup and break down, e.g. setting and removing chairs, hanging/removing elevator pads; light cleaning and stocking of building lobby and bathrooms; salting of sidewalks in winter.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Energetic, friendly, and professional demeanor; enjoys customer service, working with the public, and meeting new people;
General multi-line phone and PC literacy; experience with Microsoft Office and Google apps;
Good communication skills;
Punctual, reliable; ability to work and make decisions independently with minimal supervision;
General arts background or knowledge of arts in Philadelphia helpful, but not required.
Hours
Up to 15 hours/week based on scheduled Neighborhood House program activities, primarily evenings and weekends. Standard building hours are 10:00am-11:00pm, but shifts may occasionally start earlier and end later.
Starting Wage
$15.00/hour
