The Academy of Our Lady of Peace in the Diocese of San Diego has introduced a Pilot TV program on its in–house TV station. The program's goal is to educate students about careers in the media industry.
OLP, Broadcasts Live
Jason Austell of KUSI News, Good Morning San Diego, visited Our Lady of Peace Academy at City Heights and saw OLP broadcasts live. As seen in the report, Victoria Scelfo, a senior student at OLP, shared her and her group's experience of broadcasting live.
According to Scelfo, students can go around positions and learn how to do things. They may also find and choose something they are interested in and focus on that area.
According to KUSI News, this Pilot TV program will educate students to prepare, write, edit, and broadcast live news. Such skills ready these students for a future in the media industry.
Additionally, Jason Austell stated that such a program is a great start should the students decide to pursue a career in broadcasting.
