Awaken Recovery
On the same date, AWAKEN Recovery also gathered. Its initial meeting happened last Saturday. As per its website, AWAKEN Recovery is a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled, 12-step recovery program.
It is designed to overcome addiction and discover lasting freedom through an authentic relationship with Christ. The AWAKEN Recovery happens in all AWAKEN campuses – East Campus on Sundays, San Marcos on Mondays, and Balboa on Tuesdays.
All campuses meet at 7 p.m. on the assigned date. AWAKEN Recovery is for people looking to have personal freedom and victory against their addiction fight. This addiction can be alcohol, drug, or something else.
AWAKEN Church welcomes the family members of addicts who desire to work through any co-dependent behaviors or habits. The AWAKEN Recovery program works through the steps in a workshop format several times a year.
According to its website, AWAKEN Recovery differs from AA and NA. It defines its higher power as Christ and gives a unique Jesus – centered and spirit-filled 12 step program that combines worship and prayer while undertaking the steps.
The church also incorporates Water Baptism, Deliverance, and Baptism of the Holy Spirit into the recovery process. These aim to free the persons from addiction and empower them to live in permanent freedom.
AWAKEN Recovery welcomes all, including those not members of the church.
