Canyon Ridge Baptist Church welcomes Pastor

Canyon Ridge Baptist Church welcomed Pastor Zack Pope, from Haven Baptist Church, as its resource speaker on July 31, Sunday.

The church's Facebook page revealed that the members anticipated seeing the pastor in all three services.

Meet Pastor Zach Pope

According to the Haven Baptist Church website, Pope is the pioneering pastor of Haven Baptist Church. They noted that the pastor worked as a Youth Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Union Grove, North Carolina, for seven years.

Along with his family, they relocated to Santa Clarita to establish the church.

As further revealed on the website, Pope has written many songs. Then, he wrote his first book, “Songs in the Storm,” in 2021.

The website stated that the pastor loves to be with his family and preach. Besides, they noted that Pope likes to travel, drink coffee, and read books on theology. They also added that he is into riding his mountain bike.

According to the same website, he has been married for 14 years to his wife, Amber, and God blessed them with four kids.

God’s Will for His Life

The Haven Baptist Church Story page revealed that God started His work for Pope’s heart in May 2013. A couple of months later, Pope and his family responded to God’s calling by planting a church in Southern California (Los Angeles).

As further noted, in 2015, God put Santa Clarita in Pope’s heart as the venue to establish Haven Baptist Church. The website said the WCBC team spread literature for the church plant in September 2016.

It was in February 2017 when Pope and his family moved to Santa Clarita to start Haven Baptist Church. The website said Pope began to host a weekly Bible study at his home. Every Sunday night, college students gather in his garage.

After a few months, the church stated that he had his first public Bible study at the Core Collective Courtyard by Marriott Valencia. The church also emphasized that there were a total of 56 people who attended their first two services.

In addition, Haven Baptist Church built a charter membership and became autonomous in 2019. Then, they mentioned that they created their kid’s ministry in January 2020. The church continues to grow, as further explained on its website.

More importantly, the website noted that Haven Baptist Church celebrated its fourth anniversary last September 2021.

From Kitchen Table to Growing Church

The Haven Baptist Church homepage mentioned that their members' motto is “You Belong.” They believed that their church was not just for planned programs but to be a family where everyone belonged.

They revealed that they started at Pastor Pope’s dining table and eventually became a church family that loves God. The members also mentioned that they love each other and their neighborhood.

The same website posted that their Sunday service starts at 11 a.m. Then they have groups of young people at 10 a.m. As added to their announcement, Haven Baptist Church hosts Community Groups every Tuesday at 7 p.m.
