Canyon Springs Church announced that they are taking their high school members to an unforgettable weekend at Lake Mead for Houseboats 2022: OASIS High School Summer Camp. The event began on July 17 and will end on July 22.

The church also mentioned that their prayers include aspiration for the students can connect with God, friends, and their leaders. They added that participants could have a lot of activities during the camp. Some of the programs include wakeboarding, wake surfing, and tubing.

Besides, in the evening, they would have a gathering to listen to related messages and enjoy amazing worship and fun games. The website emphasized that this event is an excellent high school camp for a weekend to encounter God.

As posted on their website, high school students of Canyon Springs could also invite their non-Believer friends. They also noted that all incoming Grade 9 and graduating seniors are allowed to join.

Asking for Houseboats' Donations

In another church’s section, Canyon Springs posted that they are encouraging their congregation to support their Houseboats event by giving donations. Two weeks before the said camp, the church informed members that it had been two years since they could hold the trip.

Also, they stated that their young people and leaders look forward to the camp. However, the Youth Ministry leaders are focused on keeping the trip’s cost as low as possible despite the increase in gas and food prices.

The church asks for donations to help keep the costs down. The webpage mentioned that they could donate funds for others to buy food for the camp or cover registration fees or general expenses.

Oasis Youth Ministries

The Oasis Youth Ministries’ website revealed that it is the church’s program for high school students from grade nine to twelve. Also, they have Oasis Middle, designed for middle school learners.

The website also mentioned that the church's vision is to be about God, and through these youth ministries, they want to reach out to non-believer students and connect them to Christians. The church said they want to help them mature in their faith and know their ministry to honor God with their lives.

Moreover, they noted that they are doing various ways to fulfill their mission. They host unique camps and events in midweeks to give a place for learners to feel they belong and know that they are not alone.

As for now, the high school ministry gathers every Wednesday night at The Cove for OASIS Midweeks. It is an excellent time for them to have more connection to the group and grow in their faith.

Youth Camps

On the same website, the church emphasized that their young people’s camps are an excellent approach to getting connected. They added that they hear stories of amazing life transformations yearly because of their camps.

Moreover, they noted something about getting away for a while. The students are not distracted, and there is no school around them. More importantly, they are surrounded by God’s beautiful creation. They said that these factors impact their campers' experiences of God.

Camp Update

Meanwhile, the church’s Facebook page posted that the Houseboats caravan arrived safely at their destination at 8:50 p.m. last Sunday.
