City View Church launched the "Revive Initiative" to raise $275,000 for the church’s renovation over the next six months.
The church’s website announced that it wants to make its worship center look modern and welcoming.
As added on the website, some part of the church needs to be restored.
The church noted that they want their members and first-time visitors to feel welcome. They will change their old flooring and seating in the Worship hall. They also plan to develop their lobby, hallways, and comfort rooms.
City View Church expressed it also wants to place a cross outside the church, as posted on the website.
Revive San Diego
According to the church’s website, Revive San Diego is about advancing God’s Kingdom in their church, community, country, and the world. They explained that they would use people’s gifts so they could use them for their Worship Center to glorify God.
City View Church emphasized that a church has no future if its dreams are not bigger than its memories. They stressed that they have big dreams as a faith community.
They mentioned that God created them to reach the county for Jesus.
In addition, City View Church claimed they want to establish individuals in their faith, so they can impact the world outside their church walls.
The church explained that many individuals in their neighborhood do not personally connect with Jesus. They revealed that they do not have a local church to feel they belong.
More importantly, City View Church stated that San Diego has a considerable need they must take action. They noted that the church desires to take action through its faith.
Time for Revival
The same website explained that “revive” means restoration to life. They added that it's about remaking and renewing well-being.
City View Church noted that they need to restore their facilities.
The church emphasized that they love to see members become a part of this opportunity as the church develops and renews its building.
They noted that the reconstruction of their building could help them accomplish their vision of reaching out to people and making an impact for Jesus.
The church announced that those who wish to pledge could sign up on the same website.
New Things
Pastor Troy Singleterry, the lead pastor of City View Churches, stressed that he believes God wants them to make new things at the church and in their city. He admitted that their old facilities could be their struggle for expansion and growth.
Singleterry encourages its members to be part of the Revive campaign to improve their Sunday worship experience. He asked them to pray that God would help them as they supported the Revive Campaign.
Affiliation with Assemblies of God USA
According to the Assemblies of God USA website, 300 people pioneered the convention in 1914 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Today, the website reported that about 13,000 churches in America have more than three million members and adherents. They added that over 69 million people are members of Assemblies of God worldwide.
It made the Assemblies of God the world’s biggest Pentecostal denomination, as revealed on the website.
