Coastline Church to hold Discover, special

The Coastline Church invites the congregation to join them on a special night with Pastor Aaron, the church’s lead pastor, to present their mission, vision, values, and systems on June 6 at Carlsbad Campus from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The church announced they would also take Passions and Talent Assessment, which has improved at Coastline. They added that this event could help members understand better where they could serve. The church also encouraged them to bring their friends.

Their Mission

“To ignite people’s passion for building God’s Kingdom,” Coastline Church stated.

Their Purpose Section on their website noted that every church needs to have a purpose statement that answers “Why do we exist?” They emphasized that at their church, they sanctify every idea, event, and budget needed to achieve their goal. They said they do not do what will not help them meet their purpose.

They added that their purpose is based on the two teachings of Jesus. In Matthew 22:36-40, Jesus said, “Love the Lord with all your hearts, soul, and mind.” This commandment is the first and most significant of all. Jesus added, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The church revealed that all the law and prophets hold on to these two commandments.

Also, the church highlights when Jesus talked to his disciples in Mark 16:15-20. Jesus told them to go into all parts of the world to share the gospel with all creation. Those who believe and are baptized will receive salvation. But those who do not believe will be punished. Then the followers of Jesus went out and preached. The scripture stated that God worked with them.

Some of their Beliefs

The church believes in the Holy Bible. They emphasized that the Bible is the only authoritative Word of God, as posted on their Belief Section. They added that the said book is the final authority in telling the truth of all the doctrines. The church's website mentioned that it is inspired, flawless, and inevitable.

Meanwhile, the Coastline Church also believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. They believe that He is the second person in the Trinity. He was a hundred percent God and human on earth, they stated. They thought Jesus was the only sinless man to have lived on earth. He was also born a virgin and performed miracles. More importantly, the church believes that Jesus died on the cross for the salvation of humanity. He rose on the third day and went back to the right hand of the Father, the website noted. The church also believes in Jesus’ return to power and glory.

Another belief of Coastline Church is the existence of the Trinity. They mentioned that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They said that these three are equal and eternal.

Lead Pastor

The website also posted on their Team Section that Pastor Aaron has the heart to help individuals discover their purpose from God. They noted that before he became the senior pastor of Coastline Church, he assisted in starting the Dream Center in Los Angeles with the founder and senior pastor, Matthew Barnett.

With his experience, he learned the essential skills and values needed to establish and lead local churches creatively and effectively, the website revealed. The church emphasized that Aaron is passionate about loving the unchurched and individuals in need.
