Emmanuel Faith Community Church invites married members to join and learn more about marriage with the theme Different By Design in their Growth Track seminar on April 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church’s chapel.

The church website announced that the seminar's focus this month is about relationships and would be tackled by Dale and Becky Burke. They encourage men and women to come and learn how to say “I love you” and be heard by each other.

What Church Believes

“Living in the Way of Jesus with the heart of Jesus.” - the church said.

On the said website, they mentioned that at Emmanuel Faith Community Church, they love God and the people. They are pleased to be the home church of a few thousand believers of Jesus in North San Diego County. They designed their ministres to help individuals walk in the path of Jesus with His heart.

They also said that the church was founded in 1939 in Escondido, California. Their name sums up who they are, as posted on their website.

Emmanuel's name means “God is with us,” which is the core of their beliefs, the church noted. They described God as loving and caring for every human being. They also believed that Jesus Christ is God who came into the world in human form to show God’s love for them and willingly pay the price for their sin by dying on a cross. They added that Jesus rose three days later to conquer death to anyone who believed in Him so they could fully live in a personal relationship with God.

Moreover, their heart is for their community. The church is working hard to share Christ’s love with their neighborhood spiritually and practically. As part of the body of Christ, they provide support and encouragement through life groups and a wide range of ministries. Also, they provide opportunities for individuals to serve others. They also informed that they gather together to worship the Lord through prayer, music, and the teaching of the word of God.

Knowing Dale & Becky Burke

Dale Burke has been a senior pastor for 38 years, as posted on the Rockpoint church’s website. According to them, he started pastoring churches of all sizes, from a church plant in Ohio to a megachurch in California. Burke was the author of the book “How to Lead and Still Have a Life” then, he began training leaders in Biblical principles of leadership and life management.

In 2011, he founded a non-profit ministry for assisting pastors in experiencing “more fruit with more joy.”. The website added that he began educating leadership as an Adjunct Faculty for Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) in their doctoral program.

Alongside his wife Becky, the pastor began training in Rwanda, Tanzania, and Congo, using his book as a curriculum. In June 2016, Burk quit as the senior pastor while preaching part-time for their church so he and his wife could focus on doing missions with EFCA ReachGlobal.

The website noted that the couple launched their new journey as ReachGlobal missionaries focusing on training pastors and wives in Africa. They led a team and hosted training for 346 pastors with their spouses in three cities of Tanzania- Mwanza, Tanga, and Dar es Salaam. Most of these pastors are foremost leaders in different denominations with great potential for spreading the said training into their networks of churches, as posted on their website.
