Congregations at Faith Tabernacle Church are encouraged to join Heed the Need Ministries every Monday to provide the necessities for people. It takes place at 4 p.m. at Central Campus, Madison Avenue, San Diego.

The church’s website noted that these programs are intended to show the genuine perfection of Jesus Christ.

Members proactively pursue the mission to deal with the needs of their neighborhood.

Faith Tabernacle Church holds community outreach programs. These initiatives are proof of their countless food distributions and donations.

The church said it should be a natural disposition to help needy brothers and sisters. Also, they need to focus on those around them who long for Christ's love.

What San Diego Needs

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune news website, the new county administration should intensify its focus and support in many serious areas. These issues include homeless services, public health access, and programs.

It was also stated that new leaders should focus on promoting urban and suburban housing. The website indicated that it must be done in full development near public transit over rural sprawl in the backcountry.

Besides, the website added that they should have more robust partnerships with the region’s cities and special districts. Doing so was said to help lead local authorities in having a resounding success on these issues.

The news report stated that new county leadership needs to create a permanent governance commission. They could write new city rules and be a venue for future reforms.

The report added that the new government should make strategic and practical plans for Balboa Park and the homeless crisis.

They also suggested that the new government should focus on properly housing city employees and public guests. An example stated was the creation of a department for city climate. Improving how they deal with the housing crisis was also mentioned.

Taking Action

The same report from San Diego Union-Tribune stated that choices being made today for dealing with the mentioned issues would benefit those they serve long after they leave the office.

The writer highly encouraged the Legislature to reconsider its homelessness package. It is an alternative to the unworkable solutions proposed by Sacramento politicians thus far.

The package has five actions. It is how they could move homeless Californians into temporary and transitional housing.

The website said these measures also emphasized a compassionate evaluation of each person’s behavior.  It also deals with their mental health. They included substance issues before putting that person in temporary shelters.

More importantly, the package uses existing nonprofits, charities, and faith-based housing programs. Instead of creating new government agencies, they said reinventing is unnecessary. But they need to take action now.
