The church’s announcement posted that Counseling Pastor Danny Eslinger would discuss how to be successful in guiding children from 11 to 17 years old. They added that it would be a five-week class until Nov. 10.

The church believed parenting teens may be difficult, but God could help parents succeed even in this generation.

Besides, they posted that there would be a $20 registration fee for individual parents and $35 for couple.

Counseling at Foothills

According to the Counseling section, the Foothills Christian Church believes that people all need help sometimes. Some may feel hopeless thinking about the future or their connection with a loved one. But the church teaches that there is hope in Jesus.

Foothills Christian Church highlighted that its counselors are mature Believers and equipped to assist the members in finding ways to overcome their struggles.

Parenting Counseling

One of the counseling services that the church offers is about parenting. As further explained, they provide a mentoring program for parents who has younger children. Pastor Danny Eslinger and his wife Nitsa are leading the said program.

The website noted that the Younger Child counseling offers a four-week class to help parents discover common struggles they encounter in raising their kids. Besides, in this class, the leaders would teach them the basics of Christian parenting, as added on the website.

Moreover, the church noted that parents would learn biblical views on how to raise their kids. They would also listen to some useful ways for disciplining concerns.

The counseling program could help parents and their spouses to be on the same page regarding parenting, as posted on the website.

Parents and the Church

The Lifeway Research website revealed that parents and churches could work together to help their teenagers stay in the church. They explained that young people desire guidance when it comes to their decision-making in life.

The new research from Lifeway Research stated that 70 percent of young adults stopped attending church. However, they also found that parents and churches could make some attainable ways to make young people stay in the church.

More importantly, the website noted that teenagers are looking for churches that could teach them ways how to live life. They added that as they grow and become adults, the church should give them a convincing reason to keep them attending.

In addition, they said that parents who genuinely show their Christian faith to their children could also help teens to attend church consistently. They noted that 20 percent of young adults who stay in the church said that their parents or family members guided them

They mentioned that they talk about spiritual matters and pray together at home. They emphasized that people should not underestimate the effect of a solid family in the faith community. They added that the family could greatly influence teens' involvement in the church.
