Foothills Christian Church will hold a five-week parenting class on how to handle younger children beginning on Sunday, Jan.29.

The church’s website posted that Counseling Pastor Danny Eslinger and his wife, Nitsa encouraged members to attend the courses. They noted that they would discuss the basics of Christian parenting.

Besides, they would also learn the usual problems parents face in raising younger kids. As further stated, the participants would discover a biblical principle on how to raise their children.

Moreover, the website revealed that parents would learn helpful wisdom, and with their spouses, they would be on the same page in their parenting.

Foothills Christian Church reminded members that the course is designed for parents of children ages ten and younger.

Counseling

In another section, Foothills Christian Church offers a variety of counseling for its members. They stated that everyone needs help sometimes. Some may feel hopeless for the future or their relationship with their loved ones.

However, they emphasized that there is always hope in Jesus, and it would never change.

As further mentioned, the counselors are grown-up Christians that undergone training to support people in finding their way through their circumstances.

More importantly, the church said they offer advice for those preparing for marriage. Also, they have counseling for those who want to be free from resentment and those who are dealing with addiction.

The church stressed that they offer various groups to help members in their moments of difficulty. However, they admit that these situations need extra attention and care.

They encouraged members to seek assistance from a counselor. The church’s website noted that they provide a Christ-centered counsel for people, married couples, and families with one of their biblical mentors.
According to them, the first four sessions are free, and the following sessions would cost $40 per meeting. They explained that they receive a high demand for counseling services, so they reserve the Foothills Counseling resources for the regular attendees.

Learning to be Parents

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website revealed that becoming a parent means wanting to give their children a good start. Parents cultivate, secure, and lead their kids, as the website explains.

As further mentioned, parenting is a method that prepares kids to be self-reliant. They noted that the kid grows and develops, and the parents have a lot of things to do to help them.

Parenting Pre-schoolers

In another section, they explained that parents could continue reading books to their kids when they are three to five. They added that they could cultivate them in loving references by taking them to a bookstore or library.

During this stage, parents could let their kids assist with simple chores, as posted on the website. They said that to help them learn the significance of sharing and friendship; parents should motivate them to play with other children.

More importantly, in parenting preschoolers, they should be clear and consistent in disciplining them, as revealed on the website. They emphasized that parents should explain and demonstrate the behavior that they expect from their kids.
