High School men and women are encouraged to join the In Bound Purity Conference for two days, from July 10 to July 20, at the church’s Youth Auditorium.
The church event section noted that it is vital for teenagers to understand the truth about living in purity while walking a life that is honorable to God and themselves. They should also learn how to live a life that would be pleasing to the people around them.
Besides, they mentioned that this conference is way beyond physical purity but holy in the heart and mind. The church noted they would have many sessions, Question and Answer portions, and ministry activities. The participants would also enjoy worship sessions.
The church provides lunch and snacks during the conference. They emphasized that this would be a life-changing experience that high schoolers do not want to miss.
The High School Ministry
The High School Ministry section stated that this program is a place for students from all schools and backgrounds to gather together. It is a church’s initiative to help students walk in their journey of learning life the way Jesus modeled it.
In addition, one of their activities is The Mission, which is a chance for high school learners to discover God through Bible-reading, prayer, and building relationships. The website added that students gather together on Thursday to worship, study, and mature.
They also have their bonding before and after at the coffee bar, gym, and game lounge. Students also enjoy hanging out at the fire pit and nine-square court, as posted on the website.
Meanwhile, High School Ministry also hosts the Mission NineTen. This program is designed for those in the ninth and tenth grades. They meet in the main sanctuary and are dismissed by the pastor after worship to go to their classroom on Sundays every first and second service.
Why Purity Matters
The Geneva College website revealed that taking the right way, which is God’s path, is vital. It allows the person to obey the direction of God set for them. Most importantly, this purity and temperance level also help teenagers develop a conscience. The website also noted that it helps them have self-control and respect themselves and others.
When young people do not think or act purely and in God’s will, they put less value on themselves as Christ’s ambassadors, as posted on the website. But when they live a pure lifestyle, they said teenagers could recognize their genuine value in God’s eyes. They also know their importance to their body and other people around them.
The college added that respectful behavior with others, including the other gender, could lead to profound personal maturity. This growth is both mentally and spiritually.
The website also emphasized whether obeying God’s commands or simply having a pure life is a challenge today. But teenagers could make important decisions that would help them have a higher quality and refined living.
One suggestion that the college mentioned is for young adults to commit to God and remind themselves of that promise daily. According to the website, they should choose what they want to do and what they do not wish to. Making that line in the sand sets limitations and acts as a test for future behavior.
