A team from Grace Bible Church (GBC) evangelizes the Gospel on March 19 from 1:30 P.M to 4:30 P.M at Balboa Park El Prado, San Diego.

The church’s website mentioned a regular activity held every Saturday at the said park. Many other religions are also represented there, and the church had the privilege of sharing the true Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost.

GBC 

Grace Bible Church San Diego is a Gospel-centered community dedicated to exalting God, equipping the saints, and evangelizing the lost, as mentioned on their website. They stated that they are a reformed Baptist church comprised of believers who have savingly embraced the Lord Jesu Christ by faith. 

They added that they are committed to the authority and sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures, and they seek to live lives for the glory of God.

Local Evangelism

On the said website, the church informed that aside from teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as a part of their ministry,  they are also engaging in speaking for the unborn at local abortion mills and doing street evangelism at the said park. 

Missions

They informed the church’s missionary works outside San Diego on the said website. One of their outstanding achievements is the Spodazo Ministry, which means to be diligent and make every effort in Greek. The said ministry is from Pastor Sudarshan, as mentioned in the article. This said ministry covers India’s rural central coast. 

As a church, they had the great privilege of coming alongside Sudashan as he labored diligently for the Gospel in Inda as written on its website. They also highlighted life in India, wherein there are 1.25 billion people comprised of thousands of language groups and religious affiliations.

Gospel

As part of the church’s evangelism, they use resources from John MacArthur’s book entitled “The Gospel According to Jesus.” According to the I’ll be Honest website; the Gospel is the good news of how a man can be right before God. 

This website explained that there is only one answer to how a just and righteous Judge can ever declare moral a guilty and condemned criminal. They said a man could be right with God only through the life and death of the Lord Jesus Christ on his behalf. They quoted Scriptures from 1 Peter 2:24, which says, “He bore our sins in His body on the cross.”

Meaning of the Cross 

In the church’s evangelism, they also share the definition of the cross. As posted on the said website, the cross means that people are not bad enough to go to hell, and they needed something supplied outside of their efforts to make their way to heaven, and it may be offensive to the self-righteous man and his pride as mentioned on the website.

As stated on the said resources, man is not good enough and so sinful that God had to slaughter His own Son as a sacrifice to make way for man to be saved from their filthy sin.
