Grace Church San Diego will host a weekend for those who wish to become members of the church from Friday to Saturday, Nov. 11 to 12.
The church’s Facebook page announced that participants would be allowed to join a family mission.
It claimed members could also be under the authority of Jesus Christ once they become a member of Grace Church.
Moreover, the post noted that members would have the chance to dedicate their lives to making disciples. The church emphasized that they no longer attend Grace but now belong to Grace.
Membership Weekend
Meanwhile, on the church’s event website, Grace Church stressed that it would be a weekend full of learning. They explained that participants would know what it means to be wholly dedicated to becoming a solid disciple-maker.
In addition, the church noted that participants would learn to help in their community as they use God-given gifts.
Discovering Community
In another section, Grace Church highlighted their House Church for members to be a part of a community. They explained that the house church is dedicated to creating a secure place to encounter Jesus with other members.
They added that house churches consist of groups who meet throughout their city and enjoy meals together. The website notes that they also build friendships and discover their faith during their meetings.
Moreover, the church emphasized that groups gather for a greater purpose.
Local, Global Outreach
The same website stated that Grace Church San Diego is not just dedicated to serving people on Sundays. However, they said they desire to become a light to their city, as the website stresses.
As further explained, the church makes opportunities to reach their local neighborhood and expand their service in global missions.
In another section, the church highlighted that they had conducted efforts for their local community for many years.
Grace Church San Diego distributed food and made efforts to reach out to those homeless and vulnerable in their society, as mentioned on the website.
They stated that the church is an emergency center for the San Diego Food Bank. The website noted that members are involved in serving five zip codes.
They emphasized that they could feed over 150 families in each distribution.
More importantly, the website said that the church offers hygiene kids called “love grenades” and holds breakfast in the park nearby.
Mission outside San Diego
According to the church’s global mission, Grace Church believes that becoming a leader means becoming a servant. They noted that they host servant leadership events yearly to equip members with cultural intelligence.
During this program, the participants would also develop their personal and spiritual well-being, as explained on the website. They noted that they would learn more about servant leadership and handling their emotional EQ.
Moreover, the church also partners with various organizations so they can help them make a difference in the world for God’s Kingdom. The website noted that these groups had done notable works for God’s glory.
