Activities at Green Oak Ranch
The Green Oak Ranch website stressed that their guests could enjoy going back in time and remember having fun in an old-fashioned environment. They added that they have more than 100 acres of undeveloped hills and a natural creek.
The Ranch also features many preserved historical elements that their guests can explore and have some adventure to enjoy. Besides, they have some games and quality fellowship facilities, as posted on their website.
Moreover, Green Oak Ranch has sports fields such as a basketball court and archery range for visitors who are into these sports. As further posted, those who like hiking could also enjoy their hiking trails.

Free for Churches
In another section, the Green Oak Ranch revealed that they offer their resources for free to local churches. They said that it is their way of helping these churches support their members struggling with addictions.
As further explained, the ranch considers its place as an expansion of the local church. They noted that they are working with these churches to assist their member or they know in recovering.
In addition, they stressed that they provide a 60-minute awareness and training session for free for the pastoral team and church leaders. It could help them know the signs of addiction, as noted on the website.
Green Oak Ranch desires to work with the church leaders to let them learn the suitable approach to help someone suffering from addiction, as explained on the website.
Life and Recovery at the Ranch
Another section from the website revealed that Maribeth Moy, a filmmaker in San Diego, got inspired by the individuals and real-life testimonies of healing at Green Oak Ranch.
In 2009, Moy interviewed residents at the ranch and witnessed a remarkable transformation, as added on the website. The website noted that her purpose is not to make a sugar-coated version of life or redemption but to share hope amidst the challenges of those dealing with a sober life.
In her film, “Finding Glory,” she exposed how staff and programs at the ranch helped people change. The movie shows a picture of life at Green Oak Ranch.
Moy stressed that people could listen to real stories and find the hope they found in Jesus and with one another.
