Grove Church presents Christmas Under the

The Grove Church is set to celebrate Christmas spectacularly. Lead Pastor John Hoffman joined KUSI and talked about the "Christmas Under the Stars" event.

Pastor John Hoffman talked to KUSI's Elizabeth Alvarez on Good Morning San Diego. According to Alvarez, the Grove Church is uniquely celebrating Christmas, and it is described as a spectacular nighttime celebration.

The lead pastor gave more details about the event. According to Pastor John, the event is scheduled for two nights, next weekend, Dec. 18 and 19. It is Grove Church's 11th Annual Christmas Under the Stars.

It is a free, family-friendly Christmas celebration. He continued by saying that everyone is looking for something fun and safe to do at Christmas.

According to Pastor John, Christmas is such a big deal, and Grove Church wants to provide an excellent event for San Diego.

The event is free, and Coffee Corner will provide hot chocolate and coffee. The pastor gave more details to KUSI by sharing that the event would have fantastic live music.

The Christmas Under the Stars event will also feature stations where attendees can take pictures. There will be free desserts. As Pastor John shared on KUSI, activities will be from 5:00 p.m., and the program starts at 6:00 p.m.

Another feature of the event is a Nativity scene that children can enjoy. Pastor John also shared that everyone would learn a message of hope at Christmas Under the Stars.

There will be singing of Christmas Carols; as stated by Pastor John, it is not Christmas until you sing Christmas Carols. He invites everyone to this incredible night of Christmas Under the Stars event.

Through its Facebook page, the church provided an invitation for this event. It will happen at Allied Gardens Park, located at 5155 Greenbrier Ave.

Growth Groups

As shared on its webpage, Growth Groups are key ways members make friends and grow in their faith in Christ. The groups are about 15 – 20 members who met in homes and online across San Diego.

Growth Groups meetings happened for 11 weeks. It started Sept. 6 through Nov. 20. In-person groups run for 60 – 90 minutes, and online groups run for 45 – 60 minutes.
