Jamul Community Church presents A Walk through Bethlehem

As the celebration of Jesus’ birth comes near Jamul Community Church organized A Walk through Bethlehem. Last Dec. 17 the church re-enacted the day Jesus was born.

A Walk Through Bethlehem, Story of First Christmas

As shared on its Facebook, the Jamul Community Church invited everyone to mark their calendars for A Walk Through Bethlehem event. The church also encouraged everyone to invite friends and family for this beautiful night to witness the Christmas story through characters, music, live animals, hot chocolate, and more.

This Christmas presentation gave life to Jesus’ story last Dec. 17 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. It was a free outdoor event for the whole family.  

On the exact date of A Walk Through Bethlehem, Jamul Community Church once again invited everyone to the event.

The church also shared some photos from its recent event for the Christmas season. Among them is the Christmas – themed event for women and special women’s breakfast.

Multiply, Food Share Ministry

According to its website, Multiply is a food ministry of Jamul Community Church. Through this ministry, JCC provides food for free to many individuals and families in need in East County.

As stated on the website, Multiply is a thriving ministry available to anyone regardless of religion, ethnicity, race, and etc.

Multiply always welcomes volunteers to help with food distribution. During Multiply the church provides an optional Bible Study, every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

For those who would appreciate ministry through prayer, a team is available onsite from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Feeding San Diego supports the ministry.  Food distribution happens Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

 About Jamul Community Church

The Jamul Drive Campus and Church Sanctuary is located at 14058, Jamul, CA 91936. The Lyons Valley Campus and the Office (postal address) are located at 14866 Lyons Valley Road, Jamul CA 91935.

The was called Jamul Bible Chapel and New Joy Chapel in the 1970s. In 1979, the Jamul Community Church was established.

The American Missionary Fellowship sent Jesse Johnson to meet a small group of believers in the community. This happened after this group contacted AMF asking if they could send a missionary to lead a weekly bible study.

This fellowship grew into Jamul Community Church. Jesse Johnson became its first pastor and served until 1990.

In 1987, the church added a second staff member. Meanwhile, Garry Musser became the associate pastor with his focus on youth ministry. In 1991, he became the church senior pastor.

In 1995 Danny Long became the youth pastor. Members of JCC provided subsequent construction to build the church.

According to its website, at present, the church is thriving with caring people towards others and God.

The Jamul Community Church aspires to challenge each other to know, love, serve God, their families, the community, and the world.

Its core values are equipping, engaging, and expanding. The church is involved in various missions around the globe. Both on a short–term and long–term duration. Yearly, teams are sent to different locations for evangelism and supporting local churches.
