Journey Community Church launches summer

The Journey Student Ministry will hold a fundraising event on March 26 at 7 p.m. at the Plaza Room. The Variety Show aims to raise funds for Summer Camp.

Raising Funds for Summer Camp

As announced on its website, the Journey Student Ministry will hold its fundraising event – The Variety Show. The ministry is selling tickets and treats to raise money for summer camp.

All proceeds from The Variety Show will be used for providing scholarships to summer camp. Families will be able to send their students to this camp and provide an opportunity for them to hear the gospel and grow in their faith.

Journey Community Church invites everyone to come and watch exciting performances from the Middle School and High School students. There will be delicious home-baked treats for sale.

The Journey Student Ministry also prepares a Ticket Raffle $5 pre-sale tickets on March 18 and 20. These tickets are available before and after services. They are also now available online.

Meanwhile, tickets at the door of the event cost $10.

Listening Retreat

The church also announced on its website about the Listening Retreat. It encourages everyone to come to the Plaza Room on April 2 from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. According to Journey Community Church, this is a much-needed time to embrace the Lord’s presence and listen to His voice.

Moreover, it asks everyone to grab this opportunity to discern God’s activity.

The Listening Retreat will give various contemplative experiences and hands-on practices. Everything will focus on an aspect of Psalm 23 and Christ as the Shepherd. Lunch, drinks, and materials are included in the registration fee of $25.

Bunny Hop Trail

This April 9, Journey Kids invites everyone to the Bunny Hop Trail. According to the website, Bunny Hop Trail is a yearly family event at Journey Community Church. It is the church’s way to celebrate the upcoming Easter weekend.

Families will go from station to station collecting goodies like crafts, stickers, and tasty treats. Participants can also get tattoos.

The Easter Bunny will be ready to snap a photo with families. The church also provided a link for registration. The event will be from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Wild Heart Basic Men’s Retreat

Journey Community Church also organized a men’s retreat – Wild Heart Basic Men’s Retreat. This event will take place from March 31 to April 3 at Pine Valley Bible Conference Center.

John Eldredge and his team will lead Wild Heart Basic Men’s Retreat. The team will help participants walk through video sessions and discussions. According to the website, this is a four-day quest to recover man’s masculine soul, the release of what’s in his heart – his passions and his true nature.

According to the church, John Eldredge sums up why a man should sign up for this retreat. As stated on the website, a man needs a deeper understanding of why there are longings that govern him and why God made him just like that.

The retreat costs $250, and this includes three nights of lodging, seven meals, a t-shirt, and eleven video sessions from John Eldridge and the Wild at Heart team.
