Kairos Church invites its congregation to the last part of their Inductive Bible Study meeting this summer on Friday, Aug. 12, at 6 p.m.

The church’s announcement posted that the church would study the book of First Thessalonians. They added that they should confirm their attendance by Thursday to prepare the dinner.

As further informed on the website, those who want to have dinner in the church would need to pay $5.

On the same website, they noted that they started the Bible study on July 1, Friday, and it would end this Friday, Aug. 12, with a fellowship and bonding. They also posted that they had six meetings for their inductive study on the Bible throughout this summer.

Overview of Book of First Thessalonians

According to the Insightful for Living Ministries website, the book of First Thessalonians offers Believers the “clearest” biblical verses on the coming rapture for Christians. They noted that it is a part of the seven-year tribulation.

As further explained on the website, Jesus will come back during the rapture for those who believed and accepted Him. They stated that those who died in Him would rise first, and those who are still leaving would follow.

In First Thessalonians, the scripture stressed that all believers would encounter Jesus in the air. That is the start of their eternal life with Him.

The same website noted that Paul wrote the First Thessalonians after the church began in Thessalonica. They revealed that his ministry in this place affected both Jews and Gentiles.

As a result, many Gentiles in the church turned away from idolatry, as stated on the website.

Encouragement for New Believers

The same website mentioned that Paul’s letter to Thessalonians is an encouragement for new believers in Christ.

As explained on the website, Paul wrote his first letter when he was in Corinth City just a few months after he preached the Gospel in Thessalonica. They added that he wrote this around AD 51.

After spending a short time in Athens, Paul needed an update about the newborn Christians in Thessalonica. So he asked Timothy to return and serve the new believers.

The website posted that Paul feared false teachers might influence these believers. But, they noted that Timothy met him with good news and asked Paul to write a letter for these people.

According to the website, Paul was amazed by the faithfulness of the Thessalonians amidst persecution. He intended his letter for these believers to continue to mature in their faith and motivate them.

Giving Hope for New Believers

While writing his letter, Paul was aware that the believers in Thessalonica are exposed to false teaching from those who dislike Jesus and God’s grace, as stated on the website.

They also emphasized that Paul knew that the young church should continue to grow in faith so they could escape danger.

More importantly, Paul provided the hope of the return of Jesus in his letter, as the website added. The website said that his letter is for new Christians who still have questions and are unsure of their belief.

The book of First Thessalonians could offer comfort amidst uncertainties and give hope to live out their faith, as the website explains.
