King’s Cross Community Group
According to the church’s website, Community Groups at King’s Cross Church are Christ-based groups that meet to unite in spirit and of one mind. They explained that these gatherings are intended to have a room for studying God’s word intensively.
As further mentioned, having group meetings is one significant way mature in their relationship with Jesus. The church highlighted the Scripture from Philippians 2:12, which says motivation from other Believers could give comfort and show God’s love.
In addition, by being one in Jesus, HIs people could share the same Spirit and experience complete joy, as further explained in the Scripture.
Membership at King’s Cross
In another section, the church explained that its membership process impacts people into becoming a part of their church family. They noted that in the Bible, every believer of Jesus goes into a direct connection with God’s church.
As further explained, the church admitted that there is no clear command in the Bible to become a part of a local church. It assumes that believers would be local church members, as added on the website.
They emphasized that there are no specifications for living the “Christian life” outside of dedicating to a local church.
More importantly, they stressed that Jesus is the head of the church, and His body is the people who belong to the church.
Membership Process
According to the same website, the first step of becoming a church member is to join the King’s Cross Explored. In this session, the church would explain the “heartbeat” of King’s Cross Church.
In addition, they would have the chance to meet the church leaders after they finish the King’s Cross Explored, as noted on the website. They explained that their leader would have a personal interview with them.
Moreover, the website said the prospective member would read, affirm, and signs the Membership commitment. Then the church leaders would present the new member to the congregation during services, as mentioned on the website.
They added that the new member would receive a public welcome from the King’s Cross Church family.
King’s Cross Explored
King’s Cross Church offeres the class King’s Cross Explore to help churchgoers understand the church’s heartbeat, as noted on the website.
As further explained, the class is intended to help them learn the church's beliefs, practices, and direction. They emphasized that joining the class would not make the individual a member but is the initial process step.
The website said that the class is an informal gathering that would talk about the uniqueness of the church and its leadership. During the class, they would also discuss the membership of King’s Cross Church, as mentioned on the website.
