About Big Table Dine2Care Fundraiser

“Caring for restaurant and hospitality workers before they fall off the ledge, through timely interventions, intentional relationships, and transformational care.”

According to its website, the Big Table works on a referral model. It does not utilize a “hotline” model. Big Table established a network of owners, managers, and employees across the industry. When this network identifies someone in crisis, it submits a personal referral.

As shared on its website, it responds directly and personally. Big Table aims to address an immediate crisis need as soon as possible with the goal of keeping a family or individual from falling off the ledge.

Additionally, the Big Table stated where it witnesses lives genuinely change, and it shifts from triage care to investing in longer-term coaching and mentoring with a care recipient. According to its website, once the crisis has passed, it assists individuals, offering accountability and encouragement.

In early 2019, Big Table’s third location was launched in San Diego. According to its website, San Diego has over 7,000 restaurants, 500 hotels, and an average of 186,000 employed in the industry.

Big Table walks alongside these hardworking people when they experience a temporary setback. Big Table provides support, encouragement, and hope to these people.

Blood Drive

According to its newsletter, the San Diego Blood Bank is coming to church on March 6, Sunday. Currently, there are historic shortages of blood, and donations are in demand more than ever.
