Mission Gathering Church, together with Corazon De Vida Trips (CDV), will host a children’s party in an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico on Saturday, Oct. 29.
The church’s website explained that they would bring "happiness" and "transformation" to many kids. They added that they would host parties for the children and play with them.
The church members would also teach them, as added on the website. They would also assist in fixing household repairs.
Service Trip Details
The same website informed interested members that they would meet in NorthPark at 8 a.m. The church also reminded them to bring any game materials to play with the children at the orphanage.
Besides, participants must secure their valid US passport, passport card, or other legal travel documents to return to the U.S. Thye added that they could bring their Sentri Card and wear comfortable clothes.
Corazon De Vida
The Corazon De Vida website revealed that they seek to destroy the vicious cycle of poverty and continuous child neglect. The organization believes every kid’s life is vital and has the same potential and opportunity as any other life.
They added that they are working hard to ensure their service changes each’ kid’s hope for their future.
Child Abuse, Abandonment
According to Corazon De Vida, United Nations noted that more than 150 million children are neglected and are homeless worldwide. They emphasized that the problem of child abuse and abandonment is a worldwide concern.
As further explained, over six thousand kids live on the streets or in harmful situations in Nothern Baja, Mexico alone. Thousand of children are recorded to be in extreme poverty, as added on the website.
More importantly, the organization said that not having social programs like in America is the current condition in Mexico. They stated that foster care programs are not available for children. Besides, the welfare system does not exist, as emphasized on the website.
They revealed that private orphanages supported by individuals and corporate donations are the only way to care for and help the children in Mexico.
Supporting Orphanage
To deal with this problem, Corazon de Vida, a non-profit organization, provides life-changing help for orphaned and neglected kids in Baja, Mexico. As noted on the website, they are giving financial assistance to local orphanages.
Moreover, the organization provides valuable life development services. They are also investing in the kid’s future by giving educational grants for higher education, as further posted.
In addition, the website said that they are giving out monthly financial support for the orphanages under their care. They stated that these grants are part of the organization’s life-sustaining program.
In further detail, CDV gives monthly support to ten orphanages, sheltering more than 500 children. Besides, they mentioned that over 45 past orphanage residents are currently in college or technical school in their university program.
The website emphasized that these residents act as role models to their younger “siblings.”
More importantly, the organization stressed that they strive to ensure they work as lean and mean as possible. They believe that the fewer operating expenses, the more they can help the children.
