The Mission Trail Church encourages the congregation to make the best of their summer by entering into relationships and opportunities that will assist them to mature in Christ.

The church’s announcement noted four ways to grow in faith this summer: Grow, Serve, Learn, and Play. There would be groups for discipleship, and they prepared a Bible reading plan. Besides, there would be an inductive Bible study about the Book of John, and members could learn more about grace and the truth about homosexuality and marriage.

For those who want to serve the community, the church also holds activities such as joining the First Friday Concerts and Amor House-Building Team. The church would also have Terrific Thursday Kids Events. They would also need volunteers for the Street of Hope.

There would also be a churchwide barbeque party for everyone, especially the kids. Echo Youth would also have various activities for the whole summer.

Grow & Learn

According to the church’s registration section, small group gatherings consist of two to four individuals. This activity assists members in going deeper in their interaction with the Bible and their application of what God wants them to do.

Starting from July 1 to Aug. 21, small groups would meet six to eight times. The website added that they could use the Trailhead Guide or the Discipleship Guide for their gatherings.

As for their Reading Plan, the Community Bible Reading (CBR) is a simple reading plan daily with One Old Testament and one New Testament chapter. Participants could use this material for their journaling.

Also, the webpage mentioned that they also offer the “Read The New Testament in 90 Days” plan to take the congregants through the whole New Testament. They would read about three chapters a day.

Lastly, beginning on June 14, at 6:30 p.m., the church will conduct a ten-week inductive Bible study led by Scott Kemp about the Book of John. They would also learn and discuss what the Scripture says about human identity, sexuality, and marriage. They would also know how God’s word relates to homosexuality, same-sex attraction, and singleness.

Serve

On the said webpage, the church also informed members that their dream is to have every individual in Mission Trails be a part of a group and a team.  So they would like to invite those not yet part of any group or team to register and join.

Moreover, they added that members could serve on First Friday Concerts every month. The church said they would organize a booth at Allied Garden Park to distribute water and help during the event.

Another important event that members could participate in is the Amore House-Building Team which would occur from July 14 to 16. For those interested, the church said that they could learn more about this said event in their Mission Trails Amor section.

Besides, the members could also volunteer every first Monday of each month. They could serve their homeless neighbors downtown through the Streets of Hope.

Play

Meanwhile, throughout July, the webpage also announced that the Kids Ministry would be holding a fun, creative, and energetic event for children to experience Jesus. This event would be every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., where kids from kindergarten to fifth grade would enjoy games, do crafts, and listen to Bible stories.
