Newbreak Church continues to reach out to Afghan refugees by collaborating with Bridge Builders Network. From Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, the team will work together to help individuals and families settle in San Diego County.

Newbreak Church Builds Bridges for Refugees

The church continues its efforts to assist refugees arriving in San Diego County. As shared on its website, Newbreak Church partners with Bridge Builders. The partnership will welcome Afghan refugees.

According to the church announcement, in 2021, San Diego County started receiving Afghan refugees, expecting several hundred families to be resettled in the country. Newbreak Church offers everyone several ways to join in welcoming these families.

Bridge Builders Network - Welcoming Afghans Initiative

"Bringing hope, providing care, and building new friendships based on safety and trust."

The Bridge Builders Network, following Jesus' words "Love your neighbor as yourself" and Torah/Leviticus 19:34, serves as the hands and feet of Jesus for victims of chaos in Afghanistan.

According to its website, the organization's mission is to promote bridge-building efforts through service and education at the intersection of culture and faith. Moreover, as stated on its website, Bridges Builders Network possesses the historical foundation and framework in America that changes the destructive pattern of mistrust and hostility and models the best practices of faiths to others and the rest of the world.

According to Bridge Builders, all must face and overcome fears and prejudices together. Through Project Alpha, Bridge Builders provide opportunities for synagogues, churches, families, mosques, businesses, or associations, which can help rescue Afghans in extreme danger.

As shared in its recent updates, last February 12, the organization was looking for corporate sponsors for providing services and help to newly arriving Afghan families.

Bridge Builders also organized a list of items on Amazon's wish list for these newly arriving Afghan refugees.
