The parish organizes Five Days of Miracles beginning March 23 – 27. St. Martin of Tours will hold this special event, including exhibits and presentations.
Miracles Arrive at St. Martin of Tours Parish
St. Martin of Tours calls on everyone to come and be a part of its event, Five Days of Miracles. As shared in its announcement, the parish observes the Lenten season with this event.
Five Days of Miracles will include religious exhibits and presentations.
It will provide an opportunity for Catholics and others to explore miracle stories, scientific study, and Scriptural basis for the Real Presence.
St. Martin of Tours Parish presents this Vatican Exhibit highlighting the 1800 years of miracles created by the Blessed Carlo Acutis.
According to the webpage, the 8th Century Miracle at Lanciano, Italy, the host turned into flesh and wine to blood. The Sacred Cloths of Passion will also be part of the exhibit - the Shroud of Turin (Jesus’ burial shroud), the Sudarium of Oviedo (covered Jesus’ head), and the Tunic of Argenteuil (Jesus’ seamless garment).
St. Martin of Tour Parish encourages all to come and discover, using faith, history, and science, how the shroud image formed. Attendees to Five Days of Miracles will also learn the physical evidence of Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection. Through this event, Catholics and even non – Catholics can see that the man on the Shroud matches Scripture.
Moreover, the Five Days of Miracles will present the scientific links among these three cloths from Jesus’ passion. People who had near-death experiences will share personal experiences following clinical death.
According to St. Martin of Tours Parish, hundreds of millions have survived close encounters with death. The Five Days of Miracles will provide opportunities for people to listen to scientific confirmation of the soul and reasons of NDE’rs or individuals.
They had near-death experiences lose the fear of death. Additionally, their talk will also discuss how such experiences profoundly change how they live their lives. Finally, attendees will discover how consciousness survives bodily death.
The Five Days of Miracles happens at St. Martin of Tours Parish (Parish Hall), 7710 El Cajon Blvd. La Mesa. This event is free. The church invites everyone to witness the exhibit and listen to presentations. All are welcome.

As announced on its webpage, St. Martin of Tours Parish celebrated its 100 years last November 2021.
As shared on its website, the early Catholic Community of La Mesa first gathered to worship in private homes where, on special occasions, a visiting priest would celebrate the Mass or perform marriages and baptisms.
During those times, priests were concentrated on the more populous Catholic areas. There were a group of fifty families in La Mesa. These numbers did not warrant the attention of a full–time priest. Those who wanted to attend a regular Mass had to travel by train or horse, or buggy to San Diego or El Cajon.
