The North Coast Calvary Chapel (NCCC) hosts a food drive during all their services to help local partners serve the homeless and food-insecure individuals on April 3, Sunday.

The church website announced that members could drive by and drop off their donation in front of the family center or bring it with them as they walk into the sanctuary.

The church also encouraged members to help bless their partners by supporting their needs for pantry goods.

Some of the listed items posted on the said website are pasta, pasta sauce, canned meat, canned vegetables, canned fruits, dry goods or baking goods, crackers, and water.

Helping Unsheltered Neighbors

There has been an increase of individuals in the North Country suffering from homelessness.

San Deigo was ranked five in America for the enormous homeless population, said on the church’s website.

They also added that NCCC works together with its partners to assist people and families regain their dignity and livelihoods.

In line with this, they stated that their partners from Unleashed walk a route to give out dinner to their homeless friends in Oceanside.

The church added that those interested in giving could send them a message at their e-mail address.

Meanwhile, NCCC collaborated with Bread of Life to hold a shower ministry every Thursday. The church encourages its members to join their team to serve dinner at BOL every second Monday.

Unleashed

Unleashed Ministries envisions bringing the love of Jesus to all people.

They make the purpose of God accessible and attainable to everyone, said on the organization’s website.

They stated that they follow their ministry in Jesus’ teaching and do this by utilizing three main pillars. Those are one-on-one mentoring group gatherings and immersion mission trips.

Furthermore, they mentioned that their focus is to bring scripture into life by opening the church's walls into the community.

They also invited anyone looking for an extraordinary way to serve God while taking a journey to discover His purpose.

Bread of Life

Another NCCC partner is the Bread of Life. According to the Bread of Life website, they address the immediate necessities of those experiencing homelessness in the North County of San Diego.

The said center stated they offer a secure and nurturing environment for individuals desiring a better life.

In the summer of 2020, they reported that they teamed up with the San Diego Mission to help their city’s most vulnerable individuals.

With this partnership, the center believes that they could stand together to serve the hurting, hungry, and less fortunate.

They do this with the love and grace of Jesus Christ to rescue these people from the streets permanently.

They even highlighted that Bread of Life had served Oceanside for two decades by providing tangible, short-term needs and a welcoming and loving community for those in need of hope and compassion.

They stated that they started with a few volunteers distributing bagged meals and clothing in parks and on the streets, then it has become a multi-faceted resource for those facing suffering.

Today, their website reported that their program operates with over 60 volunteers each week to get individuals off the streets permanently.

Each unique service provided is a chance for guests to experience the love of God and get the help they need, the center added.
